Some months ago, I was completely astonished when I visit Quini's LinkedIn profile.
One of the most complete resumes I've ever seen.

These last weeks, I have been filling in mine. But, I'm not sure how many details should "populate" a LinkedIn profile, without overcrowding it. Obviously, it should not become another academic CVN 'web-based version' of 30-40 pages.

I'm already looking for a trade-off.

The sake of completeness bores and confuses any possible visitor. In fact, too much details make people not to see the wood for the trees.
For example, I have not included my 16 teaching books, in order to emphasize  peer-reviewed publications.

However, cutting down too many 'branches' could deemed some interesting aspects of my professional career.

Well, I suposse it is an iterative process.  :-)

Today is a very special day. We are waiting to Martin McFly to visit us at 16h00 :-)

I like this Toyota advertisement, were some of the predicted invensiont 30 yeaars ago became reality nowadays.

And a lot more, for example:

• Video calling
• Flat screen wall-mounted televisions
• Flying cars
• Hover boards
• Self-lacing shoes
• Smart glasses
• State of the art license plates
• Alternative energy sources
• Fingerprint recognition
• Tablets
• And so on...

Some of them were inspired by the film itself !

Some weeks ago, I read several great articles about Deep Learning in Andrej Karpathy's blog. I was puzzled by the simplicity and nice layout of his blog. In other post he explains why he decided to move from Wordpress to Jekyll in detail.

So, I explored Jekyll and I was delighted by its integration with github pages. I developed some scripts to compile Jekyll in a multiplatform way.

However, I had started this blog recently and I wanted to move from my old Google Pages website to here. So, finally, I have changed and tuned the template you can see right now.

I haven't updated my old blog in Blogger for more than 10 years, so, now it is not avaible anymore.
That was a time where social networks were only conceptual drafts (Orkut was babbling in Brazil).

I loved to take pictures and post them to share them with my friends. Flickr was a good ally; however, Yahoo acquisition and its corresponding policy changes, I decided to abandon my account (with more than 37000 tagged photos).
Blogger helped me to share our adventures and trips in a more friendly way than Flickr interface offered one decade ago.

Computer evolution has been meteoric.
Now, a year and a half after my thesis' confinement, I have rested, explored new computer graphics fields. I think I have a different perspective. It seems a good time to return and wander to rediscover Blogger new possibilities.
